The yutyrannus is a recent addition to the tyrannosaur group and has provided help in answering the question of tyrannosaurs having feathers. When the remains were found they had a dense covering of almost fur like fibers, that served as insulation to keep the animal warm . These are believed to have been some of the first ever feathers and eventually they would become the feathers we know of today. The yutyrannus also has another interesting feature, unlike T. Rex it had long fore arms with 3 claws on each end. This made yutyrannus one of the few tyrannosaurs to posses more than two fingers. The yutyrannus lived in what is now China and back then the temperature would've been a lot more tropical and humid. It reached a length of 30ft and lived in the early creatacous. Their is still a lot still unknown about this dinosaur but as scientist continue to search for more remains new knowledge will be gained as well.
