The Nomingia is an oviraptorid that has since baffled scientist and has contributed to the theory of feathered dinosaurs and the origin of birds from dinosaurs. The most noticeable and striking feature of this dinosaur is its large fan like tail feathers which were huge in size and radius. The feathers exact purpose is unknown but would've most likely acted as a courtship display feature like a modern day peacock.. This dinosaur is fairly recent and theirs still a lot that we don't know about this dinosaur, but one thing for sure is that Nomingia really knew how to "shake its tail feathers".
