Deinocherius is amongst the most unusual dinosaur ever found and has an appearance that's truly bizarre, with a duck like head, long arms, and huge hump, Deinocherius is the "goofy character" of dinosaurs. When remains were first found all that was known of this animal were its large arms with formidable claws, at first they were thought to have belonged to a huge theropod, it wasn't until 2014 that the true identity of this animal was revealed. Scientist had managed to find the remains of a fully grown adult and a juvenile, and the results of this find was shocking. The animal bore a large rather goofy duck-like head, a unusual hump on its back, and topped off with a pair of large forearms and claws. Preferably Deinocherius was most likely an omnivore but fed mostly on plants, its main predators were probably the tyrannosaurs such as Tarbosaurus that lived in the region which explains why it had such huge weaponry. The claws likely served as defense or helped in food manipulation, such as to reach for high growing vegetation and grab plants. It's still a mystery as to what group this animal belongs to but it's current taxonomic standing places its closest relation ornithomimids.
